Blues legend Marcus Stewart and his wife Louise have organised a bucket collection in aid of the [Darby Rimmer MND Foundation](https://darbyrimmermnd.co.uk/) in the Fanzone ahead of Saturday’s opening Premier League game of the season against Sunderland.
Representatives will be in the Fanzone from 12.30pm until 2.45pm collecting for the charity which raises awareness of MND, funds and assists research into the illness and offers grants to those with MND, as well as creating a network to help provide information and an emotional support network for those diagnosed with the disease.
Former striker Stewart, 53, who also played for the Black Cats during his career, was diagnosed with MND in September 2022 and since then he and Louise have spent time raising funds for the charity.
Louise has put out a request for people to help with the collection on Facebook [here](https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DnSxyVwuy/?mibextid=wwXIfr&wa_status_inline=true).
