Coventry City manager Frank Lampard celebrates promotion to the Premier League at parade
Coventry City have completed the signing of Sidiki Cherif from Fenerbahce.
Cherif becomes Manager Frank Lampard's eighth new signing of the summer as the Sky Blues gear up for their first season back in the Premier League.
Cherif is a 19-year-old centre-forward, whose season started last month when he was a late substitute in the Turkish side's UEFA Champions League second qualifying round clash with Gornik Zabrze.
Cherif arrives at Coventry having scored seven goals in 36 games across the 2025/26 season with Fener and also during a loan move to French Ligue Un side Angers last season.

Cherif arrives at the Coventry Building Site Arena in a £21million deal and has signed a long-term contract with Lampard's side.
Speaking to Coventry's official website, the new signing said: "I’m very happy to be a Coventry City player and I’m excited to be playing in the Premier League.
Cherif began his career in France and made his professional debut for Angers in the 2023/24 season at the age of 16. The French side won promotion from Ligue Deux to Ligue Un that year, with Cherif playing seven league games in total.
The teen star from Guinea really started to make his mark last season and had scored four goals before Fenerbahce came knocing and signed him on loan with an obligation to buy.
Now his career brings him to England and the newly-promoted Sky Blues in the Premier League.
Coventry stormed to the Championship title last season, beating Ipswich Town into second place by 11 points and winning automatic promotion by 12 points, with Millwall finishing third.
It will be Coventry's first season in the Premier League since 2000/01 when they finished 19th and were relegated with 34 points.
