The time for talk in SuperCoach EPL is almost over, with the season kick-off on Saturday with Arsenal hosting Coventry in a clash between the reigning champions of the Premier League against the winners of the Championship.
With the deadline fast approaching, Football360’s self-appointed SuperCoach experts Daniel Garb and David Weiner have picked their sides for the upcoming campaign, which you can take on in our Football360 league.
The beauty of SuperCoach is, while there is the ultimate cash prize, there’s bragging rights all over the park to be won. For this scribe, he must simply beat his nine-year-old son!
So, here’s how we landed on our line-ups.

Daniel Garb
I like players who have got a point to prove and so someone like Harry Maguire at Manchester United comes straight into my XI, he’ll be steaming after missing the World Cup. I like him and I especially think he’s worth picking at his price.
Balancing your squad is tricky, so I’ve got a couple of Coventry defenders for my bench – Milan van Ewijk and Bobby Thomas – and simply loaded up on starting players. I’ll try and avoid playing them, but I’m hoping their value rises a bit and I can make some trades to boost my squad as the season goes on.
As a Liverpool fan, I’ve got high hopes for Milos Kerkez this season at left-back, and will anchor the team with Robert Sanchez in goal from Chelsea.
My midfield is strong. Bruno Fernandes is must have, then Cole Palmer, Florian Wirtz and Sandro Tonali; then to save some money, Regan Slater, who the projections tell you is likely to score some points as a Championship player coming up.
Up front, I’ve said it all throughout the buildup to SuperCoach EPL: you have to have Erling Haaland, and the price on Alexander Isak makes him too tempting not to have.
It’s the third striker who will make the difference and I’ve gone for Victor Gyokeres.
Now make sure you take both of us on in the football 360 league. I’ve won the draft league my last two years, so I’m coming in with a bit of confidence, must be said.
David Weiner
I can’t believe I’m building the foundation of my side around a Tottenham player but I was so impressed by Antonin Kinsky in Sydney that, on the assumption Spurs will improve this season, he is a good midrange price for a goalkeeper, to keep a few other places open.
I’m a big fan of my defence: I’ve got three players who are at big clubs, but also could provide regular offensive points from defence. Pedro Porro might have a World Cup hangover but if he replicates some of his Spanish form, he’ll be a weapon for Spurs; Jeremie Frimpong will be key for an improved Liverpool, while Myles Lewis-Skelly looks an absolute steal, given he has worked his way into Mikel Arteta’s XI AND will play, in all likelihood, in midfield. He already provided a sumptuous assist in the Community Shield. Elsewhere, Levi Colwill is underpriced given his injury last season.
Like Garby, I have Palmer and Wirtz – two players whose prices I also expect to rise in improved seasons.
I’ve gone for Xhaka; maybe I’m trying to be too cute with the selection, but I’m leaning on the SuperCoach EPL’s sophisticated scoring system that rewards all round performance from central midfield, and Xhaka is in the price tier just below the most expensive. Equally, Eze is another gamble in terms of game time but I felt like I needed more Premier League winning muscle in the XI.
Up front, like Garby, you can’t not start the season with Haaland, but I’m tipping Joao Pedro to have a massive season for Chelsea and he can be my difference maker up front.
