Newcastle United announce 'exciting' deal in major £11m boost

Newcastle United have confirmed fintech company SumUp as their front-of-training kit sponsor in a ‘multi-year’ partnership.

It follows the renaming of the club’s Benton training ground to ‘The KNOX’ after KNOX Hydration secured the naming rights in a three-year deal worth £6million per season. KNOX also serve as Newcastle’s training kit sleeve sponsor and front-of-shirt sponsor, with the latter agreement worth £60million from now until the end of the 2028-29 campaign.

By that point, United hope to be moved into their new £190million training facility at Woolsington Hall estate, near Newcastle Airport. The club announced on Thursday they had agreed to purchase the 260-acre land and will apply for planning permission in 2027.

According to The Athletic, the partnership with SumUp is worth £5million per season, taking the Magpies’ annual income from training-ground-related sponsors to £11million per year.
