The Premier League is a very difficult league, Eddie Gray tells the Yorkshire Evening Post.
It doesn't make any difference from one season to the next.
You have got to go out there and perform and if you don't perform you're in trouble.
The players know that and the manager knows that so you've still got to be 100 per cent on your game, especially with the type of players you've got playing against you.
The Premier League has got a lot of quality in it so it's a difficult league.
But I think the players will take a lot from last season.
It's a learning process as well for them and I think they'll be looking forward to it.
All players want to play at the highest level and this is an opportunity for them again to prove that they can do that and I'm sure they can.
I think the aim, as always, when you play football, is you don't go out onto the pitch and think 'if we something out of the game then we are doing well'
You go out there and you think you can beat most sides and I think that will be the attitude of the players.
Elland Road is a tough place for clubs to come to with the crowd, with the atmosphere and that's a big boost for the players I think.
So I think the players will be looking to finish as high up the league as possible.
Europe? You start the season the same as any other side in the league.
But the thing about is you've got to go out and do it. That's the thing.
It's all right talking about it. Sunderland did well last season but what you've got to remember is that all the other teams in the Premier League are all looking to do exactly the same as we are.
It's going out and doing it over 90 minutes every week, week in, week out and having that confidence in each other to do it and I think the players have got confidence in each other now.
I think that's a good thing.
I think the club can do well and not many teams will relish coming to Elland Road with the atmosphere and the crowd getting right behind the team.
I think we've got the players and we can match anybody, especially at Elland Road.
I think the team did well last season, now they have just got to go out and keep improving which I am sure they will do.
I have got a bit of confidence in the side.
The club have signed James Trafford as the new goalkeeper and it's a big fee!
But if you are looking from the outside it looks like a good signing, a great signing.
Obviously he is highly thought of and it's a lot of money, a lot of money for a goalkeeper.
But it's an important position in the park. If you got sold a goalkeeper then defenders feel comfortable. That's the thing.
Top goalkeepers give the defenders in front of them a lot of confidence and that's important.
I think the goalkeepers we have had have done okay but it is an important position in the side.
A top goalkeeper gives your defenders confidence and that's a big thing. Hopefully he makes us more solid.
I think the thing about football is that it doesn't make any difference who you're playing - if you don't lose goals, you don't lose games and that's important.
Harry Wilson who has come in is also a top player and I think he's a big asset for the football club.
He can create, he can score goals and that's what you're looking for from your forward players, you are looking for them to create chances and score goals themselves.
He looks a great signing and I think the players will be looking forward to seeing him play and it will be great for him to come to Elland Road and sample the atmosphere as well.
But I don't give players advice! He's his own player and his own man and he knows how to play the game. I don't need to give him any advice at all!
Whether we need further strengthening upfront, that's the manager's job as he works with the players every day.
He knows what he needs and he might think that he has got somebody in house that he can rely on.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin did very well last season, everybody knows that but you can't just be relying on one player for goals.
You have to get goals spread about this side. You have got to get goals from midfield areas and I think we're capable of doing that with the type of player we've got in the side now.
So I'm looking forward to the season, I'm looking forward to watching them play and I think the fans are looking forward to it as well and once you get the fans behind you at Elland Road it's a difficult place for anybody to come.
The one thing that you have got to say about the side is that they work hard.
They work hard and they make it difficult for sides and that's a good thing and I think they've got confidence in each other.
The club are always difficult to beat at Elland Road and it's just about getting that little bit more on your travels, going to places and getting results and also winning at Elland Road.
You've got to still make Elland Road a fortress and make it hard for teams to come there because that's where you are going to pick most of your points up, or you would think so.
We are difficult to beat at home, there's no doubt about it, and I don't think there will be many teams who relish coming to Elland Road.
I think the club have got to be aiming to get back to the top, in that top six.
I think that will be the ambition of all the players at the football club - to be up there challenging to get as high up the league as possible.
And I think they are capable of doing it.
I think Daniel Farke has done a great job for the club.
I think he deserves all the credit. It's not easy trying to manage a club like Leeds United because regardless of the situation, the expectation level of the fans is always there.
The expectation level will be there again this season and Daniel knows that.
Now it's just down to the players to go out and perform.
