**Leeds United** boss **Daniel Farke** is confident that their [**opening weekend win**](https://www.vavel.com/en/football/2026/08/22/premier-league/1268720-nottingham-forrest-x-x-leeds-united-xxx.html) against **Oliver Glasner**'s **Nottingham Forest** is their first three points of many this season.
The German is beginning his fourth season in charge of the Yorkshire-based side, and it has started positively for him.
Nearing the end of the game, a stalemate 0-0 draw seemed very likely to be on the cards, until midfielder **Anton Stach** netted in a free-kick in the 88th minute.

Farke Sends Message to Leeds Fans

Speaking after the game, Farke has instilled hope into Leeds fans, affirming his belief that this is just the start of a very strong season to come for _The Whites_.
_"Can't be better, first game-day, first three points, also in a difficult away game. You don't know how you come out of the blocks, and then to get the first three points and a clean sheet win, couldn't be much better."_
_"Even a draw would've been a good result on the road on the first game-day, but it's also a sign that we're never just happy to settle anyhow. It wasn't just the free-kick, we also won the free-kick because we wanted to score goals."_
