Andoni Iraola will take charge of Liverpool for the first time in a competitive game as the Reds travel to St James' Park to face Newcastle this weekend.
Liverpool decided to part ways with Arne Slot after a fifth-placed finish last term, and in addition to improving its position in the standings, the club also wants to see a more exciting style of play implemented.
Last year, Liverpool won 3-2 at Newcastle, with Rio Ngumoha scoring a 100th-minute winner. Ex-Bournemouth boss Iraola will be hoping for something less dramatic this time around to get his reign off to a positive start.
In the UK, the game will be shown live by Sky Sports, and also via its app for those on the go. In the US, fans will be able to follow it live on NBC and stream it via Peacock.
"I feel excited," Iraola said in his pre-match press conference on Friday. "I can feel it even in the atmosphere when you train with the players.
"You feel like this week is a little bit different. We've been preparing friendlies, we've been preparing for other opposition, but this smells different.

"I'm looking forward to being there on Sunday and feel the pressure and start a competition that is what we like."
The Spaniard will take on six teams in a row who have also changed managers to start the new season.
"We knew (new Newcastle boss Matthias Jaissle) from before, but now that you play the first game of the season, you always over-analyze everything, even the teams that he has been coaching before," Iraola explained.
"We don't have so many friendlies as a reference with Newcastle, but at the end I don't think he changes too much the style. In the end, Newcastle will be strong in transitions, very fast players up front, physical team.

"Especially at home, the atmosphere in St. James' Park is going to be strong. We know it's not an easy game to start the season.
"So, we have to be ready for that start, for that level of players and I think we are preparing for this, yes."
Alexander Isak will face his former club at St James' Park for the first time since leaving last summer in a British record transfer deal. Hugo Ekitike, Conor Bradley, Joe Gomez and Giovanni Leoni are all set to be absent.
Newcastle will be without Joelinton and Tino Livramento through injury. This summer, it has sold Anthony Gordon, Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali, while Kieran Trippier left as a free agent.
