Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler may hand a debut to new striker Promise David as they prepare for their Premier League season-opener against Aston Villa.
David arrived on loan last week - with an option to buy - and the Canada international could in the starting XI to face Unai Enery's Villa.
Brighton do though have injury concerns with head coach Hurzeler stating: “Carlos (Baleba) and (Yankuba) Minteh, they won’t be available.
"Then Kaoru (Mitoma) is still in his rehab, Stefanos Tzimas is still in his rehab, so therefore I think these four players they will miss out. Besides that we have no new injuries.”
Brighton likely XI:
Bart Verbruggen - GK: The Dutch man kept a clean sheet for Albion's Conference League play-off first leg in Norway last Thursday and is Hurzeler's No 1.
Mats Wieffer - RB: The midfielder/full back has the potential for a big season ahead. Face competition from new signing Costinha.
Lewis Dunk - CB: I think the skipper could come back in for this one, possibly for Luka Vuskovic, w ho played against Tromso.
Olivier Boscagli - CB: The French defender had an excellent pre-season and also played well in Norway.
Ferdi Kadioglu - LB: Brighton's main man at full back and provides energy and drive down the left flank.
Pascal Gross - CM: The experienced German rarely misses a game and should be fit to start against Villa. Vital with Belaba injured and expected to leave.
Yasin Ayari - CM: The Sweden international has been consistently better than Baleba for the past 18 months or so. Excellent and under-rated.
Diego Gomez - RW: Signed a new long term deal the play anywhere player will likely feature on the right in place of the injured Minteh, who is expect to move to Liverpool.
Jack Hinshelwood - No 10: The Albion playmaker should be fresh to start after playing just the final stages last Thursday.
Maxime De Cuyper - LW: A couple of options here. Mitoma remains sidelined and Ibrahim Osman - will played very well in Tromso - could feature but I think Hurzeler could opt for De Cuyper for the PL opener.
Georginio - CF: Promise David may go straight in from the start but I expect Georginio to get the nod with David coming off the bench
Watkins and Martinez doubts
For Villa, new signings Joao Gomes (calf) and Johan Manzambi (knee), and teenage star Brian Madjo (ankle) are out for Aston Villa. Alejandro Garnacho has overcome concussion but Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Martinez are unlikely to play as their futures are up in the air.
Aston Villa boss Emery admits the summer exodus of star players at Villa Park has surprised him.
Villa have already lost Morgan Rogers, Ezri Konsa, Lucas Digne and Youri Tielemans this summer, with Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Martinez also looking likely to leave before the transfer window closes.
Emery has been able to replace some of his key men, but the Spaniard was not expecting the scale of the rebuild.
“Definitely not expecting the changes we were doing, but last year when we finished sixth and played PSG in the quarter-finals, we didn’t have a lot of movement around players,” he said ahead of Sunday’s opener at Brighton.
“This year is completely different. Maybe it was winning the Europa League or finishing fourth.”
