Leeds United kicked off their 2026/27 Premier League campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Anton Stach’s late free-kick handed the Whites all three points to cap off a dogged away performance.

While Daniel Farke and his squad get things underway on the pitch, those above the German continue to work hard in the transfer market before the September 1 deadline. Earlier this week, the YEP reported on loan interest in jet-heeled Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk while we also know a striker is wanted.
It’s set to be an exciting final nine days of the summer window and Leeds will expect to be busy, with hopes of a couple of big forward-thinking signings to come. With that in mind, the YEP takes a look at how Farke’s attacking unit could look by the end of the transfer window.

Carlos Espi is a placeholder here, given he was the only credible link so far this summer before joining Real Madrid, but Leeds need to get a top-end striker who can provide proper competition for Calvert-Lewin. They were ready to commit close to £40m in January and will probably need to do similar. As of yet, there have been no other links with nothing in reports surrounding Liam Delap.
