Real Madrid have spent the summer window rebuilding several areas of their squad, and the message coming from the club is that their transfer business is essentially complete.
With the summer transfer window entering its final week before the September 1 deadline, neither Real Madrid nor Jose Mourinho are planning another signing.
The club believe they have the squad they want and are satisfied with the work completed during the window.
But according to Mundo Deportivo, there is still one important condition attached to that stance.
Real Madrid are not expecting to make another move, yet they remain ready to react if the final days of the window bring an unexpected departure.
That makes this last week less about searching for a new player and more about watching the situation within the current squad.
Simply put, the club may have closed the door to new arrivals, but they have not completely thrown away the key.

Real Madrid have already made six additions this summer, bringing in Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konate, Bernardo Silva, Yan Diomande, Carlos Espi and Denzel Dumfries, while Mourinho’s arrival has also brought a new authority to the bench.
Those changes explain why there is no rush for another transfer.
The Real Madrid manager is satisfied with the group available to him, while the club also believes it has addressed the main needs identified at the beginning of the summer.
The focus is now on the season ahead rather than on creating another late deal.
That is the official position, at least.
Because in the final week of any transfer window, plans can change, as a serious offer, an unhappy player or an unexpected request to leave can force even the most settled club back into the market.
And that is the possibility Real Madrid are preparing for.

On that note, the two names most frequently linked with a possible exit are Eduardo Camavinga and Raul Asensio.
At present, however, neither player appears eager to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.
Camavinga, in particular, is not pushing for a move despite the continued speculation surrounding his future.
Asensio, on the other hand, is understood to be available, with his agent Jorge Mendes exploring possible options. However, his current injury has made a potential transfer more complicated at this stage of the window.
Real Madrid are therefore keeping an eye on the market for midfielders and centre-backs, but only as a contingency plan.
If Camavinga or Asensio leaves, the club could reconsider its position and look for a replacement.
