Bournemouth are finalising a deal to sign goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio from Juventus, GIVEMESPORT understands.
The Cherries got the new Premier League season off to a losing start on Sunday, although they came close to securing all three points away at Manchester City.
The Citizens required two late goals from Marc Guehi and Josko Gvardiol to overturn the lead given to the visitors by Marcus Tavernier in the first half at the Etihad Stadium.
It was almost a perfect start to Marc Rose's tenure, but in the end they were on the wrong end of the opening weekend result.

Djordje Petrovic, a summer signing from Chelsea last year, was in goal on the day, but he may find his place in the starting lineup taken now Bournemouth are set to confirm a deal to sign di Gregorio from the Italian giants.
Di Gregorio was Juve's first choice between the sticks last season, but the 29-year-old has seen Guglielmo Vicario arrive in a loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur and the Spurs star was thrown straight into the starting lineup for their opening game of the season against Frosinone at the weekend, with Vicario keeping a clean sheet in a 1-0 win.

Di Gregorio has more than 100 Serie A games under his belt and has 14 UEFA Champions League appearances to his name too, having worked his way up from Serie C in Italy.
He has travelled over to England to complete the formalities of what will be a loan move to the Vitality Stadium, with Bournemouth having an option to make the deal permanent next summer for a fee of £12.5million with £2.5million in add-ons.
The terms of the deal mean that if the Cherries do not decide to take up the permanent buy option, they will have to pay Juventus £1million.
Having qualified for the Europa League as a result of their sixth-placed finish in the Premier League last season, the Cherries are not in Carabao Cup action this midweek. Their next game is against Everton in the Premier League - their first at home this season - when Di Gregorio could make his debut.
