Juventus boss Luciano Spalletti was critical of ex-Tottenham loanee Randal Kolo Muani despite winning at Frosinone

Juventus boss Luciano Spalletti brutally hit out at former Tottenham striker Randal Kolo Muani following the club's 1-0 opening-day Serie A victory at Frosinone.
The Frenchman, who underwhelmed in north London last season despite helping keep the club afloat, played the full 90 minutes on Sunday after returning to Turin this summer for a second crack with the Old Lady.
However, his performance was overshadowed by a glaring miss as the France international fired over a loose ball from close range with the goal at his mercy.
Speaking after the match, Spalletti let rip and demanded more from his centre-forward, claiming "there is a reason" why Kolo Muani has not been able to settle at any club other than the past two seasons.
He said: "We pursued him, we nurtured him, and we know his worth, but he must understand that he hasn't played for two years, and there's a reason for that.
"Sometimes you believe you're at an exceptional level, but in reality, you've let something slip and you need to reclaim it. Kolo can hold the ball, run into space, and is physically strong, but these are the matches where he needs to deliver goals."

Kolo Muani scored just five goals in 41 appearances for Spurs last season and Tottenham were not prepared to sign the player permanently, enabling him to return to PSG.
Now he's rejoined Juventus, where he previously spent half a season on loan, though this time he has joined on a permanent basis.
While Kolo Muani showcased moments of promise in Tottenham colours, he was sharp in the Champions League against Eintracht Frankfurt and also netted in the North London Derby against Arsenal in February, Spalletti's comments justify Spurs' decision to move onto other targets.
Interestingly, Spalletti also used similar language several weeks ago when discussing a swoop for Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

He claimed Juventus had to get to the bottom of why the Italian had lost his place in the Spurs net to Antonin Kinsky upon return from injury.
Spalletti later revealed he was unable to clarify why that was the case, though the club still pounced to land Vicario on an initial loan that could become permanent next summer, anyway.
Vicario made his debut on Sunday and kept a clean sheet as Juve started the new campaign with three points.
