Amar Dedic wowed Newcastle United supporters with an all-action debut performance against Liverpool.
Matthias Jaissle hailed Amar Dedic for making an instant impression at Newcastle United.
Toon chiefs stumped up £30million to sign the right-back from Benfica last week. A previous Jaissle protege at Red Bull Salzburg, Dedic was thrown straight into the deep end against Liverpool.
The 24-year-old excelled in defence, making several key tackles and even having a hand in Anthony Elanga’s opener. Dedic was one of the standout performers to give Newcastle fans a taste of more to come.

Matthias Jaissle on Amar Dedic
Jaissle told The Gazette that working with Dedic previously allowed him to seamlessly slot in just five days after becoming a Newcastle player. He said: “The good part was that he knew our identity, he knew already beforehand how we want to play football, and he's a player fitting to that style, so it was easy for him to adapt.
“But also I have to say, chapeau, how fast he adapted, and in the Premier League, played 90 minutes against a tough opponent. So I'm really happy.”
