Brighton have moved swiftly to soften the expected blow of losing Ferdi Kadioglu to Manchester United.

The Seagulls have reportedly reached a £10m deal to sign Jaouen Hadjam from Swiss club Young Boys BSC.
The 23-year-old Algeria international is expected to complete the transfer in the coming days.
Transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri posted: “Brighton & Hove Albion and Young Boys BSC reached a deal of €12M for Jaouen Hadjam.
“The Swiss club will get some add-ons on it too. Hadjam will sign until June 2031 with the Seagulls.
“Hadjam expected to fly for England in the next 24 hours to complete the deal.”
Kadioglu blow
It’s quick work from Brighton as it emerged that their player of the year Kadioglu is on his way to Manchester United, for a potential fee of around £50m.
Losing Kadioglu is a blow for Brighton who was excellent for Brighton last term and made the left back spot his own. He joined Brighton for around £25m in 2024 from Turkish club Fenerbahçe.
The Turkey international made 51 appearances for Brighton with three goals and is contracted until 2028.
Kadioglu missed Brighton’s opening game of the season against Aston Villa due to a “minor injury.”
Manchester United are also pushing to sign Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba for around £70m. Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh could also depart for around £70m as Liverpool close in.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace are ready to make a £50million bid for West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen, according to the Sun.
The report comes despite the Hammers captain recently committing his future to the club following their relegation from the Premier League.
Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio is on the brink of completing a £12m switch to Bournemouth. Sky Sports have claimed the 29-year-old stopper is due to arrive on the south coast on Monday to complete an initial season-long loan move.
Meanwhile, Ollie Watkins’ Aston Villa future remains in significant doubt, and the England international has been linked in various outlets with a transfer to Saudi club Al Hilal.
