Crystal Palace could see Jean-Philippe Mateta move to Juventus in the final days of the window through a swap deal which would bring Jonathan David to Selhurst Park.
The 28-year-old played an influential role for the Eagles last season as they secured Conference League glory, the first European trophy in the club’s history.
Mateta found the back of the net in the final against Rayo Vallecano, scoring the only goal of the match and finished the season with 16 goals across all competitions.

However, the striker’s future has also become the subject of speculation in recent months as he enters the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park, which he has also tried to dispute the validity of.
Juventus were keen on securing the Frenchman during the winter transfer window, although a move ultimately failed to materialise.
The jury is out on what might happen with the striker as the final days of the summer transfer window approach.
In June it was suggested that Juventus consider Mateta as an option if they fail to land Randal Kolo Muani in the ongoing window.

The Turin outfit have now managed to secure Kolo Muani’s signature, but they are still in the market for a striker and a move for Palace star Mateta is still on the cards.
According to Italian journalist Luca Cerchione, Palace fans should ‘watch out for the possible swap’ as Juventus could try to acquire the signature of Palace star Mateta through a swap deal which could see David going the other way.
The 26-year-old striker joined Juventus in the summer of 2025 from Lille, where he was prolific, but managed to secure only six goals in his first season with the Old Lady.
David has an admirer in the Premier League in the form of Aston Villa, but Juventus could try to get hold of Mateta by offering him to Palace this summer.
Crystal Palace are also in the market to sign a midfielder before the window closes and it has been suggested that they are monitoring Marseille star Quinten Timber.
