Liverpool are running out of time to get deals done during the summer transfer window.
The Reds have made four signings overall so far, three of whom featured in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Newcastle. Jeremy Jacquet was included from the off at St James' Park, while Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo both featured from the bench.
Munoz won the penalty that was converted by Dominik Szoboszlai in the 99th minute to ensure Liverpool headed home with a share of the spoils. Now, Iraola will be looking to wrap up his business in a busy week which also includes the Champions League draw and his first competitive match at Anfield as Reds boss against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Bradley Barcola, Ibrahim Mbaye and Yankuba Minteh are three names who have been heavily linked to the Reds during the window. But will any of them end up joining before the window slams shut?
Here, the ECHOhas the latest headlines for Reds fans.
PSG chief speaks out
PSG chief Luis Campos has insisted the transfer window "isn't over" in his eyes, keeping the door firmly open on potential moves for both Mbaye and Barcola. The Reds have been heavily linked with the duo throughout the summer, in particular Barcola, with a formal bid potentially coming this week.
Paris Saint-Germain's French forward #29 Bradley Barcola (R) celebrates with Paris Saint-Germain's French forward #49 Ibrahim Mbaye after scoring his team's second goal during the French L1 football match between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and RC Lens at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris, on September 14, 2025.

Reports suggest that an agreement in principle for a deal running until 2032 has already been reached between the club and the player, with only the transfer fee left to be resolved. Negotiations for Mbaye are said to be continuing, though his PSG colleague remains Iraola's primary target.
Now, Campos has informed L1+ that the club will bide its time regarding the two potential departures and are awaiting "a good opportunity."

He said: "The transfer window isn't closed. I understand the question, but you have to understand my position. It's important to defend PSG and the club. You mentioned (Bradley) Barcola and (Ibrahim) Mbaye; we'll see what happens. It's like this every year.
"I remind you what happened last year with Gigio Donnarumma; it was really late. This transfer window isn't over at all; it's open. Even on the incoming side, if we find a good opportunity, we'll take it."
Van Dijk transfer confession
Van Dijk maintains he has complete confidence in Liverpool's recruitment team to provide Iraola with the resources required to challenge this season. To date, Victor Munoz and Jeremy Jacquet represent the sole additions this summer, despite connections to numerous other targets.

Regardless of limited arrivals in recent weeks, the club captain stays optimistic about the transfer window. Van Dijk said: "Everyone wants to see quality arrive regardless. I fully trust the club and the board to make the right decisions. That's the only thing I can say.
"Let's see what they do. Regardless of what happens, we are Liverpool and we have to give everything. For us, we have to show a reaction from last year. We have nothing to prove to the outside world, in my opinion. It is to ourselves. The way we train, the way we approach games, it is down to us to show a reaction."
Reflecting on the shift in approach under Iraola, the Netherlands international added: "Last year it was very unacceptable, but that was last year. I don't want to talk about that - we are looking forward and looking to improve. Hopefully next week it will be very close to what (Iraola) wants us to do.
"Like I say, we work on it every day. We do long hours on the training ground and that will only benefit all of us, including our loyal and trusted supporters. It is so early in the season that if we start panicking regardless of what could have happened today then we won't be in a good place."
