Birmingham City face Brentford in the Carabao Cup this evening with a trip to Championship rivals Wrexham at the back of their minds.
Blues head to the Racecourse Ground on Friday night looking to build on a positive start to their away programme after last season’s travel sickness.
However, first they have a challenging second round clash with Keith Andrews’ Bees, who opened their campaign by spanking Tottenham Hotspur.
Blues came through a tricky first round tie at Swansea, while the Bees are entering the competition at this stage by virtue of being a top flight club.
With Friday in mind Chris Davies is expected to make changes to the XI that has started every game so far this term.
