Serie A side Milan have been hopeful of finding a suitor for defender Fikayo Tomori, who had attracted interest from Aston Villa. For now, the deal is on hold.

Now, Daniele Longo has [reported](https://www.calciomercato.com/liste/milan-linea-dura-con-gli-epurati-tomori-rischia-di-rimanere-fuori-lista-le-ultime-sull-aston-villa-e-gli-interessamenti-dalla-premier-league/blt371dc2b367c66dbe#cs9af7afbeb65d7ecb) some updates about the matter, saying that only Aston Villa have made concrete moves for the Englishman.
They had been in discussions with Milan for the 28-year-old for many days. The two parties even appeared to have agreed a fee worth €10 million plus bonuses.
Soon, Aston Villa decided to back away and look at signing Club Brugge’s Joel Ordonez instead. Milan will try to rekindle contact with the Villans over a possible deal as the two parties have a good relationship. But if that fails, they will explore other English opportunities for the player too.
Earlier in the window, Al Hilal had also explored a move for Tomori. Initial contact was made but it never turned into a formal approach.
