A young Carlos Baleba would run "non-stop" for hours every day and sprint between tyres on a road near his home in Cameroon to improve his agility, all under his father's supervision.
It's that kind of hard graft that has led to Baleba's transfer to Manchester United. In the space of just four years, he has switched from the Brasseries du Cameroun Football Academy to French club Lille, then to Brighton, and now to one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"It is an incredible feeling to join the club of my dreams. Playing at Old Trafford is always special but the opportunity to do so as a Manchester United player will be a real honour," he said when his United transfer was announced.
