Jaissle admitted there were a lot of tired bodies after a late Dominik Szoboszlai penalty denied the Magpies a deserved victory against Liverpool on the opening day of the Premier League season on Sunday.
£42million summer signing Bazoumana Toure and Nick Woltemade were among the unused substitutes against the Reds, so are in line to start for the visit of the Baggies, who have both their opening Championship matches.
“First of all, it's a big competition due to the history of the club, we are aware of that and I'm looking forward already to play that round,” Jaissle said ahead of the tie. “Important now is first, after an hour from the final whistle, that we get the thing sorted, we analyse the game, we see the availability of the players.
“There were now many players who were exhausted, some of them with minor injuries, so we need to see who's available, and then we meet together tomorrow and make that decision towards Wednesday.”
