Goalkeeper Will Dennis thanked former club Bournemouth after he left Dean Court after more than a decade at the club.
The 26-year-old joined the south coast club as a 15-year-old, having had trials at MK Dons, and Coventry City after leaving Watford’s academy.
While he only played one senior game for the Cherries, he was a regular on the bench in the Premier League last season, and spent his formative years at the club.
On Wednesday, his move to Milton Keynes was confirmed, signing for an undisclosed fee.
Taking to social media, Dennis posted a picture of himself as a younger having initially signed for Bournemouth alongside his latest head shot ahead of the new season, and posted an emotional message thanking the club and their fans for the last decade.
“After 10 years, it’s time for me to say goodbye to Bournemouth,” he wrote. “This place has been my home for a long time and I’ve made so many memories, friendships and experiences that I’ll always carry with me.
“It’s a really tough decision to leave, but one I feel is the right one for me at this point in my career.
“A huge thank you to all the players, staff and fans for your support and for making these 10 years so special. I’ll always be grateful to have been part of this club.”
In joining Dons, he added: “I’m really excited for this new chapter and can’t wait to get started. I’m looking forward to meeting the lads, seeing the fans and giving everything for the club.”
