Liverpool could face a familiar problem in trying to get a deal for Ismaila Sarr over the line this summer, with the move resembling a previous transfer approach.

Liverpool could be reliant on Crystal Palace getting a replacement for Ismaila Sarr through the door before it can sign the Senegalese international winger this summer.
It comes as the Reds are scrambling around for options on the right wing, with the need to replace Mohamed Salah growing by the hour. So far, there have been approaches for Yan Diomande and Yankuba Minteh turned down, with the former moving to Real Madrid and the latter seemingly being priced out of a move by Brighton's valuation, following two rejected bids.
PSG's Ibrahim Mbaye has been linked with a switch to Anfield as well, but it seems as though Liverpool has looked elsewhere on the market, instead of paying the fee requested by Les Parisiens.

That's where a move for Sarr has come about, as reports claim that Liverpool has made a £50 million ($68 million) bid for the Crystal Palace star, in the hopes of landing him as the option to bolster the right flank.
While it remains to be seen how the Eagles will respond to the offer and the potential valuation placed on the 28-year-old, it seems as though the club is considering its options.
That's because the Daily Mail reports that Crystal Palace won't do a deal with Liverpool until a replacement is found for Sarr in the final few days of the transfer window.

That could prove to be challenging, considering the difficulties that the Reds have faced in the market trying to find a right-winger who could add plenty of quality for the rest of the upcoming campaign.
It also harks back to a transfer problem that Liverpool had in the past with Crystal Palace when it came to the saga surrounding Marc Guehi last summer.
The Merseyside outfit made a late push to sign the centre-back, and even got the all-clear for a deal to be done, but only if the London club could find a potential replacement for him in the final few hours of the window.

That replacement never came for the England international, and he instead stayed at Selhurst Park until January, by which point he had already agreed a deal to join Manchester City, blowing Liverpool out of the water with the finances it could offer the centre-back.
Sporting director Richard Hughes certainly can't afford to be stung like that again in the market, considering how great the need for a new winger on the right flank truly is.

That could force the Reds to look at other options, on a list of players that the recruitment team appears to be moving further down with each passing day.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will be able to land Sarr, or another player on the right wing, but time is running out in what is turning out to be a chaotic end to the summer.
