Tudor Mendel has signed a new contract at Ipswich Town after making his senior debut for the Blues.
The exciting 21-year-old winger came off the bench in the 3-1 Carabao Cup victory over Leicester City last night.
Mendel, who was Town's Academy Player of the Year last season, has now penned a new two-year deal at Portman Road, with an option for a further 12 months.
He has spent most of pre-season training with the first team and featured in the friendlies against Wycombe Wanderers and Le Havre.

The Slough-born winger has been making waves playing for John McGreal's U21 side over the last two seasons, having joined the Blues from Anderlecht in September 2024.
On signing his new contract, Mendel said: “I am very happy to sign because I feel at home and settled at Ipswich. This means that I can keep on progressing within the support structure that we all get here as young players.
“It was a very proud moment to have made my competitive senior debut. I’m now focused on improving and repaying the faith that has been shown in me.
“I want to thank the Academy staff for their help in my development and making the transition as easy as possible and also the first-team staff and Gary O’Neil for giving me the opportunity.”
