Liverpool are looking at a potential deal for Ismaila Sarr
Liverpool are looking at a move for Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr as Andoni Iraola’s side work to improve their wide options before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
The Reds have been pursuing a deal for Paris St Germain’s France international Bradley Barcola this summer and last week saw two bids rejected by Brighton for Yankuba Minteh.
Liverpool’s second offer was worth £60million and the Press Association understands the Reds are now exploring a deal for Sarr, whose contract with Palace runs until 2029.

The 28-year-old has won the FA Cup, Community Shield and Conference League since joining the Eagles from Marseille in 2024, picking up a number of individual accolades along the way.

Sarr has scored seven goals in all competitions against Liverpool down the years and missed Palace’s Premier League opener against Everton with a groin injury that will also keep him out against Manchester City on Friday.
The Senegal international – who played for Watford between 2019 and 2023 – was last week linked with a move to Galatasaray before Liverpool’s interest emerged.
Palace boss Pierre Sage said when asked if he expected Sarr to stay: “For the moment, yes, because when you have three years on the contract, it is not easy to leave.
“I understand that for everybody to have this kind of contact (from Liverpool) is difficult, because you hesitate a lot. But for the moment, he is with us. He is under contract.
“He is injured and maybe you can make a link between his injury and the situation. But for me, he is honest and I have no problem with that. We just want him on the pitch as quickly as possible.”
Liverpool boss Iraola is set to speak to the media on Thursday at the press conference previewing Saturday lunchtime’s Anfield encounter against Nottingham Forest.
