Another day of gossip and conjecture has been and gone, and as always we’re here with our evening round-up of some of the biggest and wildest Premier League transfer rumours you might have missed – starting with a story involving Liverpool and Crystal Palace.

According to TEAMtalk, the Reds have given up on signing Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh after deciding not to meet the £80m asking price – and are now “set to consider” an offer for Palace’s wantaway wideman Ismaïla Sarr instead.

Crystal Palace are allegedly demanding £50m to sell Sarr, who has made it pretty plain that he wants to leave Selhurst Park amid interest from Galatasaray. Liverpool are now “exploring” the option of muscling in on the Turkish outfit’s negotiations as they work to find another winger alongside Bradley Barcola, who they still intend to sign from PSG before the deadline.
Barcola’s team-mate Ibrahim Mbaye is another alternative being considered, but it sounds as though the chances that Liverpool sign Minteh are now very low based on this story, with the Reds unwilling to bridge the financial gap. Sarr would be somewhat cheaper.
The 3AM Verdict: Fabrizio Romano appears to have confirmed this story since it broke, suggesting that Liverpool may well meet the £50m asking price - so this looks distinctly likely as it stands.

We’ll stick with TEAMtalk for our second story of today’s round-up, which concerns Everton’s likely dealings before the deadline – according to this story, they’re after four new faces, including free-scoring FC Midtjylland striker Franculino Djú, who has long been linked with a move to the Premier League.
Everton are said to have held “fresh talks” with the 22-year-old’s representatives, and it’s suggested that an offer of €25m (£21.5m) would be sufficient to get a deal done. It’s also noted that Newcastle could provide a rival in the bidding for a forward who scored 21 goals in 28 games in Denmark last season.
Should a deal for Djú fail to materialise, the Toffees are also said to be considering both Burnley forward Zian Flemming and Tottenham Hotspurs’ Richarlison, who could return to the team with which he first made his name.
The 3AM Verdict: Everton have been linked with Djú on several occasions and he’s a hugely impressive young forward, so we wouldn’t be at all shocked if he was on their shortlist again this summer. Beto looks increasingly likely to leave, so it’s probable that they sign a striker, and Djú is as plausible a target as any.

Let’s wrap up with an intriguing transfer story from Sport Witness now, who claim that Tottenham Hotspur are in the bidding to sign Crystal Palace wing-back Daniel Muñoz – but that they want to sign him as an out-and-out winger rather than as a right-back.
Spurs aren’t the only club keen on the Colombian, with Nottingham Forest and Everton said to have made enquiries with the latter “pushing harder” than their rivals to get a deal over the line. Spurs, in comparison to Everton, are said to be “in the background” while the bidding takes place.
Palace are said to be “open” to selling the 30-year-old for a transfer fee of £25m, and Everton appear to be the favourites just now – but they’re also looking at a number of alternative targets, so there’s still a chance that Spurs or Nottingham Forest end up winning this particular race.
The 3AM Verdict: So far as we can see, neither Spurs nor Forest have done anything about their alleged interest so far, and we think it’s especially unlikely that he ends up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium based on information from our own sources. Everton is the best bet in this supposed three-horse race.
