COVENTRY City will host rivals Aston Villa in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
The Sky Blues will renew their rivalry with Villa at the Coventry Building Society Arena next month.
Third round ties will take place across the weeks commencing Monday, September 7 and Monday, September 14.
The last meeting between the two clubs took place in May 2001 as Villa triumphed 3-2 to relegate the Sky Blues from the Premier League.
Coventry beat Plymouth Argyle 4-2 to reach the third round of the competition.
Villa enter the Carabao Cup at the third round stage owing to their involvement in the UEFA Champions League.
