Uefa Conference League: Why Brighton vs Tromso is not on the TV listings - TNT Sports, Channel…

Brighton vs Tromso in the Uefa Conference League from the Amex Stadium - Thursday, 7.30

Brighton’s Uefa Conference League clash with Tromso is unlikely to be screened live on UK TV tonight.

The Seagulls welcome the Norwegians for the second leg of the Uefa Conference League play-off, following last week’s 0-0 draw in Norway.

The winners will advance to the league stage of Europe’s third tier competition, which gets underway in October.

Gross: This is do or die

Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross said: “This is a do-or-die game. In these games, there's no excuses. You don't have another chance to do it again, so we just need to find the right balance between attack and defence.

"Stay calm, but also we're at home and we're strong and we should really believe in ourselves.

“We have our crowd and we're also really confident that we can go to the next round.

“They are a very disciplined team, defensive with a lot of players behind the ball, good in transition.

"But in the end we should also have the belief and confidence to say if we play our game, if we bring our intensity, our physicality on the pitch, if we have a good structure in possession, if we play simple, if we play fast, if we attack the box well, then I think we're also a team that's difficult to beat.”

Why is Brighton v Tromso not on TV?

TNT Sports are the rights holders to the Uefa Champions League, the Europa League and Conference League - but the package does not include the qualifiers, or the play-offs.

Last season Channel 5 acquired the rights to screen Crystal Palace’s Europa Conference League play-offs. They showed both legs of Palace's fixtures against Norwegian club Fredrikstad FK.

But C5 are not expected to do this for Brighton this year. Brighton’s first leg in Tromso was available to stream via Swedish platform Solidsport, for £12.

As it stands, no such arrangement is in place for the tonight's reverse fixture at the Amex Stadium. Sussex Worldhave asked Brighton for a comment.
