West Brom have recently signed the midfielder from Strasbourg for an undisclosed fee and handed him a three-year contract running until June 2029. WBA snapped him up to bolster their options in the middle of the park.
Nzingoula, 20, came off the bench for the Baggies in their opening two Championship fixtures against Norwich City and Burnley respectively. He was then handed a start by James Morrison in their most recent outing against Premier League side Newcastle United in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

The Midlands outfit were beaten 3-2 by the Toon Army in the North East in the end, with Isaac Price getting back of their goals. They put in a spirited performance though and have their opponents a really good game.
Nzingoula caught the eye in the middle of the park for West Brom and journalist Cox has delivered his verdict, as per a report by the Express & Star: “Intriguing starter for a full debut as one of the two central midfielders and he caught the eye and was almost marked higher. Some really exciting deft touches, turns of pace and skill. Tired at times but one to watch. Eye-catching 7/10.”
West Brom new boy Rabby Nzingoula has bright future
West Brom brought in Nzingoula to boost their midfield department. He provides WBA with more competition and depth in his position.
He acquired to replace Alex Mowatt, who was sold to Derby County. The youngster battles it out with Ousmane Diakite and Felix Horn Myhre for a place in the Baggies’ starting XI.
Nzingoula joined Strasbourg back in 2022 after spells at US Grigny and US Orleans. He has played 15 competitive first-team games for his current club and was also a regular for their B team in the past.
The ex-France youth international was loaned out to Montpellier to get some experience in 2024 and made 27 outings there. He then made the temporary switch to FC Nurnberg last winter to further boost his development.

The Verdict: West Brom can take more positives from Newcastle United tie
West Brom have made a strong start to the new campaign. WBA are well organised, robust and have some good quality at the top end of the pitch.
Despite their defeat at Newcastle United, they can take positives from their display against top flight opposition. Nzingoula looked good, as did Harry Whitwell and Jimmy-Jay Morgan again.
The Baggies have a small squad and could do with a couple more signings before the end of the transfer window. They have until the deadline on Tuesday 1st September to complete any final deals.
Morrison has steadied the ship at West Brom since his appointment. His side have become hard to beat and they will fancy their chances against anyone at the moment with their confidence high.
