NOTTINGHAM, England (AP) - Chelsea sold Liam Delap to Nottingham Forest on Thursday in a deal worth a reported 50 million pounds ($68 million) for a striker who scored two goals in all competitions last season.
Delap was only at Chelsea for one season and failed to establish himself as a regular after joining from Ipswich for 30 million pounds.
The 23-year-old Delap has signed a five-year deal at Forest, where he will provide competition for Igor Jesus and Chris Wood.
Delap was the top scorer with 12 goals for Ipswich in the 2024-25 season when the team was relegated from the Premier League. That earned him the move to Chelsea.
He was previously at Manchester City.
