Barcola has been one of the main transfer priorities for Liverpool this summer and an agreement has reportedly finally been reached between the club and Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool has reportedly finally agreed a deal in principle with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Bradley Barcola.
The Athletic claim the Reds and Ligue 1 giants secured an agreement overnight for a switch worth around $163million in total. Of that, it is being claimed that $136m is guaranteed.
Richard Hughes and Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon are the two men being credited with getting the move over the line, with just the finer details to be ironed out. Liverpool has appeared to be on the verge of signing Barcola for some time with negotiations dragging on for months. But this latest update will come as welcome news to both Andoni Iraola as well as the fanbase at Anfield who have been waiting for positive news on the transfer front.
The $136m guaranteed will likely have been a sticking point between clubs but that has now thankfully been agreed upon as a pivotal element of the negotiation.
It is not yet known when Barcola will finally make his move to England as he prepares to jet into the country to sort his medical tests out as well as officially sign his contract to become a Liverpool player.
It has certainly been a protracted move between clubs with the playmaker having turned out for France during this summer's World Cup.
Barcola had made it clear he would prefer to handle his future after the tournament and that has been the case with Liverpool also making sure to have contingency plans in place with other targets should they fail in their priority mission.
Ismaila Sarr has been an $81m target for the club while Yankuba Minteh has also been on the radar with offers knocked back by Brighton and Hove Albion who has always maintained they wanted to keep their star winger.

The transfer fee for Barcola, meanwhile, was forced down as many as three times by PSG according to multiple outlets.
It was claimed earlier this week, too, that the Anfield giants always planned to draft in their new investors to help during negotiations even if Hughes was still the man in charge and the one tasked with getting it over the line.
Only three new signings have been made this summer with Liverpool perhaps lagging behind the rest of the Premier League's top clubs with Jeremy Jacquet, Victor Munoz, and Ronald Araujo the only acquisitions.
Head coach Iraola has known he needs reinforcements to compete on all fronts and the Spaniard has finally landed his man who will arrive in England soon. A swoop for Barcola does, however, mean there could be a knock-on effect for the likes of Cody Gakpo in the attacking areas in front of the Kop.
The Dutchman has been linked more than once with Tottenham Hotspur this summer while Manchester City is also believed to be interested having allowed Savinho to move to North London.
Barcola performed 49 times for PSG in the 2025-26 campaign, adding 13 goals and seven assists as they retained the Ligue 1 title while also lifting the Champions League for a second time.
In total, since he made the move to Parc des Princes in 2022, the attacking playmaker has 39 strikes and 37 assists in just over 150 outings across the four year stint.
