Leicester City have lost key assets in their drop from the Premier League to League One. And, with less than a week remaining in the summer transfer window, there is scope for more departures from LCFC.
Lorenz Hutchinson has drawn interest with his starring performances in the Foxes’ academy, and Football Insider now claims that the forward has Premier League admirers. Arsenal and Aston Villa have both registered interest in the 18-year-old, it is said.

The League One side are willing to listen to offers for Hutchinson to help ease their financial woes. The teenager will be out of contract next summer, so cashing in now avoids the risk of him moving for a nominal fee.
How Lorenz Hutchinson has caught the eye with excellent Leicester City academy form
Hutchinson has come all the way through the Leicester City setup and emerged with the U21s last year. His stunning form for the U18s earned him the step up, and some have even touted him for a senior breakthrough given the drop to League One.
Mainly playing as a striker, Hutchinson scored 20 goals and provided eight assists in 34 matches last year. Most of those were with the U18s, but his step up to Premier League 2 went smoothly as well, recording four goals and three assists in 11 outings.

Such form at youth level and Hutchinson’s contract situation means interest was bound to emerge. He will have opportunities in higher level academies while there could even be chances to move into the first-team game elsewhere.
If LCFC are to sanction an exit, Hutchinson has to make sure the move is the right one for him and his development as he plans out the early years of his career.
The Verdict: Lorenz Hutchinson is the sort of player Leicester City should fight to keep
Hutchinson’s contract means Leicester City are in a tough spot. However, with the club at a low point in their recent history and need of inspiration, they can turn to the academy as a source of encouragement and new talent.
The drop to League One should open the door for prospects to break through, and Hutchinson can be one. Not only would it be a big show of faith in his abilities, but it could help galvanise the supporters to have one of their own involved when they’ve had so little to celebrate in recent years.
Unfortunately, the interest and Hutchinson’s expiring contract means an exit seems likely. If it doesn’t come to the fore before the window’s end, he could still depart LCFC in the next year.
