Stoke Eyeing Ogbene Loan

Stoke City are showing interest in signing Blues winger Chieo Ogbene on loan.
The Republic of Ireland international has always looked set to move on again this summer, having spent the last campaign on loan at Sheffield United, with his involvement with the Blues in pre-season largely having been out of position in the early friendlies.
We understand, as per the _[EADT](https://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/26500517.ipswich-town---stoke-city-talks-chiedozie-ogbene-loan/)_, the Potters are keen on taking the 29-year-old for the season with a potential deal progressing but with other Championship sides also keen.
Former Town skipper Jon Walters is the sporting director at Stoke with George Hirst and Ben Johnson having already made the switch from Portman Road to the bet365 Stadium this summer, the Scotland international on a permanent basis and the ex-West Ham full-back on loan.
Elsewhere, Wrexham are continuing to push to sign Blues forward Anis Mehmeti on loan with Derby, Sheffield United and Birmingham City also believed to be keen.
Meanwhile, we understand there is no truth in claims Kasey McAteer has been made available for loan.
In addition to Ogbene and Mehmeti, Cameron Humphreys, Alex Palmer, Jack Taylor and youngsters such as Tudor Mendel seem likely to move out on loan before the window closes next Tuesday.
