Fiorentina have entered talks with Manchester United over a deal for Joshua Zirkzee, talkSPORT understands.
The Italian side are keen to bring the Netherlands international back to Serie A before the transfer window closes.

However, an official bid has yet to be placed for the 25-year-old forward.
Zirkzee was an unused substitute in United's Premier League opening weekend defeat to Hull City last Saturday.
Matheus Cunha was preferred to lead the line at the MKM Stadium before being replaced by Benjamin Sesko in the second half.
Zirkzee's United future
It leaves Zirkzee's future under Michael Carrick in the balance amid Fiorentina's interest in a move.
The striker's current Old Trafford deal expires in 2029 having arrived from Bologna two years ago.
Zirkzee has since scored just nine goals in 75 appearances across all competitions for the club.
His last strike for United came in a Premier League meeting with Wolves back in December.
The trip to Hull had followed an impressive pre-season for Zirkzee, who was not included in the Netherlands' World Cup squad.

Despite scoring once in six caps for the Oranje, his last call-up came back in November 2024.
Zirkzee was on target twice for United during the summer, including a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win over Rosenborg.

He also opened the scoring in their clash with Leeds United in Dublin on August 12.
The Red Devils won the match on penalties following a 1-1 draw at Croke Park.

talkSPORT previously revealed Roma had targeted a January loan move for Zirkzee.
However, he ultimately remained with the Red Devils for the second half of the campaign.
A long-awaited return to Italy could now be offered by Fiorentina.
Zirkzee spent two seasons with Bologna prior to his £36million move to United.

Fiorentina are yet to launch an official bid for Zirkzee with talks ongoing
During that time, he scored 13 goals and added seven assists in 53 Serie A appearances.
The former Bayern Munich man also had a loan spell at Parma back in 2021.
