JENSON Seelt has joined Swansea City on loan for the season - but only after signing a new long-term contract at Sunderland.
Seelt's new deal will keep him on Wearside until 2030, with director of football Florent Ghisolfi saying the contract "demonstrates that we see him as a player who is very much part of Sunderland's plans in the future".
Seelt joined Sunderland in 2023 and although his game-time at the Stadium of Light has been limited, he's highly thought of by club staff and officials.

He made 18 appearances in his debut season on Wearside and started the opening Premier League game last season before linking up with Wolfsburg on loan, a spell that was frustratingly cut short for the defender because of injury.
But he's impressed at Sunderland in pre-season and is now set to continue his development in the Championship with Swansea.
Ghisolfi said: “Jenson has earned his new contract based on his performances during his time at the club.
“We are looking for him to continue to develop his game whilst on loan at Swansea this season.
“By signing the contract before he completes the loan move, it demonstrates that we see him as a player who is very much part of Sunderland’s plans in the future, which is what we’re all working towards.”
Swansea boss Vitor Matos said: “Jenson is a talented young player, and he will provide us with valuable depth in our defensive options.
“He brings physicality and aerial dominance, but also a composure on the ball and ability to read the game. We are happy he will spend the rest of the season with us and we look forward to integrating him into the squad.”
Swansea's sporting director Ben Stevens added: “Jenson is an exciting prospect who has already played in the Championship, Eredivisie, Bundesliga and Premier League.
“He is a centre-back whose ability on the ball and physical presence fits our team’s requirements, and we look forward to seeing him in a Swansea shirt.”
