Liverpool is set to push for a move for Ismaila Sarr, despite a rebuttal from Crystal Palace over a recent offer for the winger in the final few days of the transfer window.
The Reds have seemingly outlined the 28-year-old as a key target before the market screeches to a halt, as he can fill the right-wing position that has been vacated by Mohamed Salah this summer.
Sarr has been heavily linked with an exit from Selhurst Park already over the course of the transfer window, as Turkish side Galatasaray has pursued a possible switch for the Senegalese international.
Those offers were seemingly rejected, followed by Liverpool's opening offer of $68 million being turned down by Crystal Palace in the past few days.

Considering the reported stance of no exit for the winger, unless an exceptional offer is put on the table, it seemed as though the transfer saga was going to end just as quickly as it started.
However, The Independent reports that Liverpool is still pursuing a deal for Sarr in the final days of the window, despite that initial offer rejection from Crystal Palace.
It's claimed that the Reds are not yet discouraged from bringing the right-winger into the club, with the belief that a deal is still possible at this stage.

It remains to be seen if that will culminate in another offer, or whether the recruitment team will simply consider its options in a last-minute scramble to seal an arrival on the right.
The move for Sarr is another chapter in what has been a messy situation surrounding the replacement of Salah, with plenty of targets coming and going in recent months without any progress being made.
Yan Diomande was viewed as the ideal option, but his decision to join PSG at first, and then eventually Real Madrid, appeared to dissuade the Merseyside outfit from being able to land the Ivorian international.
More recently, there has been interest in PSG's Ibrahim Mbaye, and two offers rejected for Brighton's Yankuba Minteh, with Liverpool chiefs seemingly moving on to Sarr following those talks.
If a transfer can be sealed for the latter, then Andoni Iraola will have a player who is reaching the peak years of his career and has that Premier League experience that has been lacking from some of the newer arrivals in the team.
Sarr has scored 33 goals and assisted ten in 92 appearances for Crystal Palace, showing his ability to cause problems for the opposition with his pace and ability in front of goal.
Liverpool knows that better than most clubs, having been on the end of seven goals from him in 10 previous meetings, showing first-hand what he can do to teams.
There may be concerns over his age profile and his fit within the team, especially as a right-footed right-winger who prefers to play slightly inside the pitch, rather than hugging the touchline for width. However, time is running out, and Liverpool needs a right-winger in before the transfer window closes.
