Fabian Hurzeler says Albion will have to be patient with injured Jack Hinshelwood.
The midfielder is facing a lay-off having missed the 4-0 home win over Tromso.
Georginio Rutter, who also sat that one out, has not been ruled out of Sunday’s game at Chelsea but appears a significant doubt.
Hinshelwood was pulled out of the Tromso game due to a small, unspecified issue in training on Wednesday.
Hurzeler said Albion will monitor him over “the next weeks”.
Speaking on Friday morning, Hurzeler said: “With both, we have to be patient.
“I didn’t see them yet today but there might be a chance for one of them to be in the squad.
“I think with Jack we have to be more patient. Let's see how the next weeks are going.
“I can’t give you a clear schedule when the players will be back.
“We have to go day by day. With Gini I see a higher chance that he might be part of the squad.
“With Jack, I think we have to be more patient so let’s see.”
He later added: “It's always a massive loss to lose important players but I will never complain about this.
“We will find solutions for that. We will have good replacements.
“Yesterday, Matt O’Riley came into the team, showed a good performance.
“Therefore, he (Hinshelwood) had a small issue in a training session, nothing big, but, for the weekend, it might be too close.

“And then we will find solutions, then we will find good solutions.
“A team should never rely on the player, a team should be capable of replacing players.
“Of course, these kind of players are so important because they are in a good run, in good form.
“They are in good shape but we will be there and we will find some solutions.”
Recent signings Promise David and Jaouen Hadjam are expected to be part of the matchday 20 at Chelsea.
