**Oliver Glasner** gave his thoughts on the arrival of **Liam Delap** to the **City Ground**.
The striker scored 12 times for promoted **Ipswich Town** in the 2024/25 season, earning himself a move to **Champions League** qualifying **Chelsea** last summer. But his time with the _Blues_ was a year to forget. He registered just one **Premier League** goal, notching a tap-in against **Barcelona** in Europe, and ended the campaign with 2 goals from 41 appearances as his new club crashed down to 10th place.

Yet, an agreement has allowed all parties to feel another move a year into a six-year deal was worth the hassle. Having gone to **Stamford Bridge** for £30 million, **Nottingham Forest** forked out £45 million for his services, and Glasner is sure the player from two years ago can be rediscovered.
_"He had a difficult season at_ **_Chelsea_** _and in the last weeks he wasn't allowed to train with the team any more. It's clear you have to look for a club where you have better chances to get minutes and reignite your career. That's why I think we're the right club._
