Chelsea have confirmed that Nicolas Jackson has completed a permanent transfer to Aston Villa. Jackson departs Stamford Bridge having scored 30 goals for the club in 81 appearances with his final season under contract spent on loan at Bayern Munich.
Despite that, Chelsea are set to receive a significant amount of funds with the deal said to have cost Unai Emery's side £65million which is just over half what the Blues paid Villareal three years ago.
Prior to arriving at Villa Park as head coach, Emery coached Jackson at the Spanish club with the duo now reunited in the Premier League.
Chelsea's club statement read: "Nicolas Jackson has completed a permanent transfer from Chelsea to Aston Villa. The Senegal international arrived at Stamford Bridge in June 2023 from Spanish club Villarreal.

Jackson looked set to be reintegrated by new manager Xabi Alonso before the decision was made to sign Danny Welbeck. He is set to be the back-up to Joao Pedro with Jackson and Liam Delap free to move on.
The latter has joined Nottingham Forest for £50m with Chelsea also making profit on his sale having signed him from Ipswich Town for £30m last summer.

Several players have departed the club permanently over the last few months and there could still be exits to come with Enzo Fernandez strongly linked to Man City which would see him reunite with Enzo Maresca.
football.london understands that RB Leipzig have agreed to sign Spanish forward Marc Guiu on a permanent deal with Chelsea inserting a sell-on clause.
A replacement for Fernandez if he does move on is expected to arrive with Alex Scott of interest but Bournemouth are clear in their stance that they do not want to sell.
AS Monaco's Lamine Camara is also of interest, football.london understands, with Chelsea and Liverpool offered the chance to sign him before the window closes.
