Ibrahim Mbaye is set to undergo a medical on Saturday ahead of signing for Aston Villa from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth £47 million, including add-ons.
The 18-year-old winger has long been admired by Villa, but a move appeared unlikely earlier this summer until a breakthrough was found following their unsuccessful pursuit of Rafael Leao.
Villa exhausted their options in an attempt to put together a package that would satisfy AC Milan and Leao, with the Portugal international now expected to join Galatasaray despite reportedly preferring a move to the Premier League.
Villa then struck a deal with PSG to sign Senegal wonderkid Mbaye, who is expected to complete his move over the weekend before potentially making his debut against Hull City next Saturday.
After coming through the PSG academy, Mbaye has made 42 first-team appearances, with 31 of those coming last season, when he scored three goals.
He also showcased his talent on the international stage, scoring an impressive goal for Senegal against France at the World Cup and featuring in all four of their matches.
