PSG winger Ibrahim Mbaye (18) has not yet agreed to join Aston Villa, despite the two clubs reaching a €55m agreement, according to L’Equipe. The Senegal international winger is on his way out of Les Parisiens. Mbaye has not played a single minute in competitive action this season with the back-to-back UEFA Champions League winners, although he scored against Manchester United in a preseason friendly.
The Athletic reported this afternoon that PSG and Aston Villa have struck a €55m agreement for the transfer of Mbaye. The relationship between Aston Villa chairman Nassef Sawiris and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi reportedly played a crucial role in closing the deal. Unai Emery’s side are hopeful to have Mbaye completing a medical as early as Saturday. But, as of Friday evening, the player is yet to agree on the move.
