**Thierno Barry has the opportunity to continue his superb start to the season when [Everton](https://ReadEverton.com) face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium today.**
The striker already has four goals from his opening two appearances after scoring against Crystal Palace and following that with a hat-trick in Wednesday night’s 4-0 Carabao Cup victory at Preston North End.
Another goal on the south coast would bring a notable Everton achievement.
If Barry scores against Bournemouth, he will become the first Everton player since Dominic Calvert-Lewin in 2020/21 to score in each of the club’s opening two Premier League matches of a season.

Calvert-Lewin began that campaign in remarkable form.
He scored the winner at Tottenham before hitting a hat-trick against West Brom and then finding the net against Crystal Palace and Brighton.
That made him the first Everton player to score in the opening four matches of a Premier League campaign.
Barry has some way to go to match that sequence, but his own start has been impressive.
His goal against Palace was followed by his first Everton hat-trick at Deepdale, where he also set up Brennan Johnson for the fourth.
Four goals from his first two appearances represents quite a start.
One more at Bournemouth would give Barry another small piece of Everton history — and continue an opening to the season that has already exceeded expectations.
