The Blues have made the long trip to the south coast in confident mood after they won their season opener 2-0 at home to Crystal Palace and followed that up with a 4-0 Carabao Cup second-round cruise at Preston North End in midweek.
But the showdown with Bournemouth will be their toughest test yet.
The Cherries, for whom new head coach Marco Rose will be taking charge of his first official home match, lost on the opening weekend 2-1 to Manchester City despite leading until the 84th minute.
But their performance at the Etihad Stadium, aligned with the fact they have added three summer signings to a squad that finished sixth last season under Andoni Iraola, means they will prove a stern challenge for Everton.
