MATTHIAS Jaissle has again reiterated that Newcastle United "know their needs" ahead of the final days of the summer transfer window, but says the Magpies won't be forced into any panicked signings.
And Jaissle again refused to be drawn on speculation linking Nick Woltemade with a move away, with Napoli one of a number of Italian clubs interested in the forward.
Newcastle continued their impressive start to the season with a 2-0 win at Tottenham on Saturday evening, with Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa scoring second half goals.
Nico Gonzalez made an impressive debut for the Magpies just three days after joining the club - and Jaissle is hoping for more signings ahead of Tuesday night's deadline.

Jaissle says he has full faith in sporting director Ross Wilson, with Newcastle looking to add another forward to their ranks, which could have an impact on the future of Woltemade.
Quizzed on the future of the former Stuttgart man, Woltemade said: "I'm not a coach who takes part in rumours. Nick is a part of the squad, we have a strong squad but we also know we're still active in the transfer market with a couple of days left."
Newcastle have picked up four points from their first two league games as well as advancing into the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Asked whether such a positive start helps or hinders his push for new recruits - the case could be made that the need isn't as great as previously thought given the impressive results - Jaissle said: "That's a good question. There's always pros and cons.
"We know our needs. Ross is doing an amazing job. We have a couple of days left and will not panic and do something crazy without everyone believing it's the right decision. That's the most important thing, on a management and leadership level that we're all aligned."
Jaissle was delighted to see his side record their first Premier League win of the season, with the Magpies deserved victors in the capital.
He said: "Really pleased, not only because of the goals we scored but because of the performance and how we improved during the match.
"That should give us confidence to be able to adjust things and that's what the lads showed, especially in the second half.
"It was really good in all phases. We controlled the transitions much better, so I think in the end it was a well deserved win."
