Manchester United are back in familiar surroundings this afternoon when they host Ipswich Town in the Premier League. United were heavy favourites against Hull City last weekend, but came unstuck against the newly promoted side.
Gary O'Neil's team head to Old Trafford in high spirits. Their new manager has guided them to back-to-back victories to start the season - beating Sunderland on the opening day and Leicester City in the Carabao Cup. Even at this early stage of the campaign, opinions are being formed about teams and Michael Carrick is all too aware of the need to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.
Senne Lammens was the only player who came out of the Hull game with praise. He produced some great saves to deny the Tigers from embarrassing United further. The Belgium international will start in goal.
In front of him, there could be two changes. Noussair Mazraoui regressed as the game wore on last weekend and could be dropped in favour of Diogo Dalot. Meanwhile, Ayden Heaven was guilty of allowing Oli McBurnie to peel off him for the opener so could be replaced by Leny Yoro at centre-back.
United have been boosted this week by the return of Mason Mount to full training. He should be in a position to start today, and the temptation would be there to partner him with Andrey Santos. The duo did well alongside each other in pre-season before Mount's injury, so reuniting that partnership is tempting.
The Reds' attack was concerningly blunt at Hull and Carrick will be wondering how to switch things up. Marcus Rashford offers a bit more than Patrick Dorgu, but he could be moved onto the right flank, allowing Matheus Cunha to fill in on the left.
Rashford is slightly more familiar with the right-wing role compared to Cunha. At this stage, that is all that is needed to secure his spot in the team. Ordinarily, Bryan Mbeumo would fill in there. However, with Amad injured and Benjamin Sesko not up to speed, Carrick could be forced to start the ex-Brentford man in the centre-forward role.

We can expect Rashford, Cunha and Mbeumo to be fluid at the top of the pitch. That being said, Cunha's performance leading the line last weekend was poor and Mbeumo would be better suited in that role.
