Matthias Jaissle insists Newcastle United will not panic in the final two days of the summer transfer window.

The Magpies remain active in the market, but manager Jaissle has warned that the club won’t make a signing for the sake of it.
Nico Gonzalez became United’s seventh summer signing in midweek after joining from Manchester City for £50million, taking the total spend to around £220million after the arrivals of Ewen Jaouen, Lukas Hornicek, Amar Dedic, Aladji Bamba, Sean Steur and Bazoumana Toure.

Matthias Jaissle makes Newcastle United transfer admission
Jaissle is keen to add another attacker to his squad but admitted that will only happen if there is alignment between him and sporting director Ross Wilson.
Newcastle have made a strong start to the new campaign, drawing with Liverpool on the opening day before winning 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday night.
When asked if that had strengthened his argument for more signings or indeed worked against him, Jaissle replied: “That's a good question. There's always pros and cons. But, again, we know our needs.
“Ross is doing an amazing job, we have a couple of days left, and we will not panic, and we will not do something crazy where we're not believing everyone that it's the right decision, so that's the most important thing.
“And also on the management level, on the leadership level, that we're all aligned and all speaking the same language.”

It’s been a huge summer of change at St James’ Park following the sales of Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes, and the departure of head coach Eddie Howe.
Jaissle has been tasked with working with a young team. Externally, United’s start to the campaign by surprise, but has it exceeded Jaissle’s expectations?
“Our expectations are coming from outside,” he told The Gazette. “We have our own goals and we are clear with that. We are also realistic, so now obviously you write that everything is top, everything is great, but we don't follow that too much.
“We are emotionally stable and don't see the highs higher than it is now. Of course it's a moment to enjoy as well after that start, but we are also smart enough to see a long, long journey ahead of us and there will be challenges as well.”
