MARTIN O’NEILL insists Celtic should REJECT Rangers’ derisory offer of a 300 tickets for the Premier League Sports Cup quarter-final at Ibrox on September 13.
The Hoops have been told they will receive a reduced allocation for the tie from the hosts.
After watching his team beat Falkirk 2-1 in Glasgow with a double from Camilo Duran to maintain the champions’ 100 per cent league start to the season, O’Neill dismissed their Glasgow rivals’ ticket stance and reckons the Parkhead powerbrokers should refuse to accept them.
With a dispute between the clubs simmering, O’Neill said: “We might as well not get any.
“That’s a shame. But very obviously, if they’re going to give us 300 tickets, I would rather say no. And we’ll give them one.

“Is there a chance the club won’t take them? I genuinely don’t know. That’s my viewpoint.”
The Hoops gaffer also praised the team’s supporters who cheered the squad and clapped them off the team coach before yesterday’s game – just four days after Celtic’s dismal exit from the Champions League in Austria.
O’Neill, speaking to the Scottish Sun, continued: “As we got off the bus, the crowd actually cheered us, which was unexpected and something that we probably didn’t deserve.
“I was really pleased as it has been a tough four days.”
The champions sit on top of the Premiership, three points ahead of Hearts and eight in front of Derek McInnes’ Govan strugglers who play their game in hand against Aberdeen at Pittodrie at noon today.
