The proposed Harrison Armstrong move to Nottingham Forest appears to be OFF after Everton’s ownership reportedly pulled the plug on the deal.
The Telegraph’s John Percy reports that Everton had accepted a £35million bid for the 19-year-old and given him permission to travel ahead of a potential move.
According to Percy, Forest had also received written confirmation from Everton.
But the situation has now taken a dramatic turn.

Percy reports that Everton’s ownership have stopped the transfer, with the reaction from supporters understood to have been a major factor in the decision.
If so, it represents a remarkable turnaround less than 24 hours after Evertonians made their feelings abundantly clear at Bournemouth.
The travelling support repeatedly sang for the club not to sell Armstrong during Saturday’s 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium.
David Moyes confirmed afterwards that an offer had been received and described Armstrong’s future as a “club decision”.
The Everton manager also reiterated that he did not want to lose his better players as he looks to strengthen rather than weaken his squad before Tuesday’s deadline.
Percy’s latest information suggests the deal had progressed considerably further than was publicly known.
Everton had reportedly accepted £35m and granted Armstrong permission to travel before the ownership intervened.
That intervention will be welcomed by supporters who have made clear their determination to see the academy graduate remain at the Hill Dickinson.
Harrison Armstrong joined Everton at the age of five and has started every competitive game this season.
Barring another change in a rapidly developing situation, he now appears set to stay.
