Burnley striker Zian Flemming is still a target for Brentford, but the Bees will only move at the right price.
Burnley remain active in the late stages of the summer transfer window. While Nicky Hayen is keen for new additions, the focus is on retaining sought-after stars like Zian Flemming in the face of persisting interest.
The Dutchman has no shortage of admirers, and Alan Nixon states that Premier League side Brentford remain keen on bringing him in. The Bees were first linked with Flemming earlier this summer, and it is said that they are still on his trail.

Flemming is valued around the £20m mark at present and that is too much for Brentford. However, if the asking price drops, they could make a move as Everton and Lille also target a late deal for the 28-year-old.
What has Nicky Hayen said about Zian Flemming’s Burnley future?
Speaking prior to Burnley’s heavy defeat away at Norwich City, Hayen insisted there has been no change over Flemming’s situation. He missed the West Brom loss through injury but was back in the side at Carrow Road.
On a potential exit, Hayen said: “At the moment, there’s no change.
“Zian could only play 10-15 minutes, because otherwise I brought him earlier in the game. He trained yesterday [Tuesday] for the first time and we had a conversation with the medical staff and he could only play 10-15 minutes max, otherwise, we brought him earlier.”
The Belgian did admit that there is a desire to strengthen in attack in the closing stages of the window though, regardless of what comes of Flemming’s future. If he does depart, you have to think another striker would be added to the shortlist alongside those already sought.
The Verdict: Burnley must hold firm on Zian Flemming valuation
At this stage in the transfer window, it would be really tough for Burnley to let go of Flemming. There is next to no time to source a replacement, which the Clarets would absolutely need given the calibre of the other strikers on the books.
If they are to cash in, it has to be on their terms. That money then has to go towards sourcing a replacement, as there has been little shown by the other strikers to suggest they can step up in his absence.

All of Lyle Foster, Zeki Amdouni, Armando Broja, Dastan Saptayev, Andreas Hountondji, Michael Obafemi and Ashley Barnes are on the books. However, few will have faith that any of them can step up and score goals for a promotion-chasing side like Flemming would.
It remains to be seen just what comes of Flemming’s future, but at the current price, Brentford look unlikely to swoop.
