Nick Woltemade played a part in Newcastle United’s second goal in the 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Matthias Jaissle has once again stayed coy on Nick Woltemade’s future at Newcastle United.
The German was a second-half substitute and played a key role in Yoane Wissa’s clincher on 72 minutes. Woltemade put the recent speculation to the back of his mind to contribute towards another historic away win in North London.
Goals from Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa secured all three points as Sandro Tonali slumped on the bench at the full-time whistle. As for Woltemade, he now faces a crunch few days.
It is understood that the Magpies are pushing for another forward before the Tuesday deadline. Should that happen, Newcastle could allow Woltemade to leave on loan.

Interest from Italy and Germany has emerged, with United unwilling to sanction a deal unless a player arrives. Speaking after the 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, Jaissle refused to give a definitive answer on Woltemade’s future.
“I'm not a coach who takes part in these rumours you're making from the media,” he said. “Nick is a part of the squad and we have a strong squad, definitely. But you also know that we want to be still active in the transfer market. We still have a couple of days left.”
‘Confidence’ - Matthias Jaissle
The German has vowed that the win - which he called well-deserved - over Spurs will give his players confidence after a turbulent off-season. Jaissle added: “I’m really pleased, not only because of the goals we scored, also because of the performance they showed and how they were improving during a match.
“That gives me confidence and should give us confidence to be able to adjust things. That's what the lads showed, especially in the second half. It was really good in both phases, we even controlled the transition moments much better. Therefore, I also think it was, in the end, a well-deserved win.”
