Everton to offset Ndiaye sale with cult hero deals

**Everton plan to offset Iliman Ndiaye’s exit with the return of two fan favourites.**

Ndiaye is on the verge of sealing a move to Tottenham despite previously stating that he harbours ambitions of playing in the Champions League in the near future.

Manchester City had also been in the hunt for the Senegal international but are instead working on a package to seal the signing of Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo.

Spurs were also targeting Gakpo and have turned their attention to Ndiaye after losing out to the Premier League top six rivals for the Netherlands international.

The Blues, meanwhile, are preparing to re-sign Richarlison in a separate deal with the former No.7 understood to be keen on a return to Merseyside after four years.

Roberto De Zerbi confirmed after his side’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle on Saturday that the Brazilian was among his players who had requested to leave north London.

Everton will also follow up their ongoing interest in City winger Jack Grealish, who has attracted interest from former club Aston Villa and Sunderland in recent weeks.

However the 30-year-old remains intent on heading back to Hill Dickinson Stadium, where he flourished in a season-long loan that was curtailed by injury in January.

Everton are expected to continue their pursuit of a right-back before Tuesday night’s summer transfer deadline with Fulham’s Kenny Tete again firmly on their radar.
